Stay and Play

Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

Thursday 28th March 

 

This 'Stay and Play' session will have a Mother's Day focus. However, we are aware that not all mums can attend at this time and we openly welcome another family member to join your child for this session.

 

Please note the different start time of 1.45 - 2.45pm in your child's classroom.

 

To help us prepare for the session, please notify us of your intention to attend by signing up with the staff member on the gate in the morning.

Parent Curriculum Drop-in

 

Each term there will be a short presentation for each year group to help explain what your children will be learning this term, share the class timetable, discuss homework and answer any questions you may have. The presentation will last no more than 20 minutes and will be in Brunel Classroom.

 

Please note the new time - To help parents who have siblings in different year groups, the reception drop-in will start at 2.40pm. After the presentation, any information shared will be uploaded onto this class page. Please see the calendar for the next date.

EYFS Letters home to parents.

Forest School

Columbus - Tuesday

Brunel - Wednesday

Your child will only need - A pair of gloves, a hat and Wellington boots.

We now have our All-in-One suits for use in Forest School.

P.E

 

Children in reception will have a PE session every week on a Thursday afternoon.

Your child will need the following named clothes in school :-

 

  • Black shorts
  • White T-Shirt
  • A pair of black pumps

 

The PE Kit should be kept in a named drawstring bag and preferably left in school for the term.

Children will bring the kit home for washing at the end of the term.

 

 

Just to make you aware that on occasion children in reception do have head lice. 

Please click, for advice from the NHS on what to do if you find that your child has head lice or you are informed by your class teacher.

Reminders:

  • Please can all children bring a named book bag and a water bottle each day.  
  • Home readers are changed once a week on a Thursday. Please ensure that your child's reading book and record are in their book bag on Wednesday.
