Welcome to Newton Class.
Our Teacher is Miss Plume and our Teaching Partner is Mrs Westbrook (Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Friday's) and Miss Lacey (Thursday's).
We will be learning a spelling rule each week and then sending home a list of spellings to practise. We will then have a test on these words the next week. Spelling lists will come home every Thursday. Have a look at today's rule...
Spelling set 12.6.19, test on the 17.6.19
This Thursday (14th November) Year 3 will be having their flu immunisations. We will talk to them about this in Class but if there are any problems or concerns please let a member of staff know.
Forest school and PE kits
Please can all children bring in their Forest School clothes with wellies and PE kits every week. We have Forest school on a Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Millin has asked that they must have wellies as the ground is quite wet and muddy now the weather has changed. PE is on a Friday afternoon.
Without the correct clothing, children may have to miss out on these important and beneficial activities.
In addition to the homework books, the children will also be asked to learn their times tables and a set of spellings for the week. We will teach the spelling rule the same week to help them.

Outdoor Classroom Day
On Thursday 1st November, Manor School will be taking part in a outdoor classroom learning day. This will involve a number of different activities where the children will get to explore and learn from what is around them. Please ensure your child is wearing warm and dry clothes. Wellies, a waterproof coat and old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty would be preferable.
Please don't forget that it is the Year 3's Roman day this Friday (12th). The children are welcome to come in a sensible Roman costume if they like whilst we learn more about their traditions and their interesting history! Thank you!
